If you guys are gonna charge almost 1 dollar for salsa try not skimping on the salsa for Huaraches. Mine was super dry!!!!! Barely had any.

This was my favorite restaurant until last night, I ordered one huarache de milanesa and six tamales 2- de rajas, 2-chicken and 2-de dulce. This restaurant in woodman and vanowen was not really busy but they took forever. After waiting for almost 30 min I asked for my order and they just told me that ran out of tamales de dulce so I ordered 2 more de rajas as an exchange. Time keep going and after another 15 min the order was finally ready. Once I got home, we were ready to eat and I got the worst feeling ever once I saw my huarache .. Obviously I went back to the place to return everything and asked for a full refund. Melisa took my complaint without any comments and gave me mi money back. I probably won't be back but please pay special attention to the the kitchen and make sure this won't happen again

El Huarache Veloz is legit Mexican food! The huaraches are delicious, chile rellenos are big and juicy, the quesadillas are yummy, and the horchatas are perfect! It takes a little while for your food to be made but it's well worth the wait! The biggest downside is honestly the parking. It's a small shared lot with other businesses so you really have to be lucky to snag a spot. People get so excited to park that half the time they park crooked making it even more difficult for others to park. Street parking can be pretty dicey in the area as well. If you can brave the parking though, El Huarache Veloz is worth stopping by!

The beans are great and the quesadillas are very good as well because they use their hand made tortillas to make them. Do not order the terrible chili verde like I made the mistake of doing. The "chili verde" they brought was obviously thin grilled carne asada covered with some kind of sauce, meat tough as old leather. It certainly was not like any other chili verde I've had. I returned it but had to negotiate a refund with the employees who tried to convince me that it was my fault for ordering the wrong dish. I wasn't having it and they returned my money.
